STAND and deliver!
That's the ladies of Stand Unitarian Chapel, who have raised an impressive £1,300 for Christie Hospital Cancer Fund Appeal.
The proceeds came from a coffee morning and evening. The event, held at the school room in Ringley Road, Whitefield, near the chapel, also featured stalls, raffles and a tombola.
The event marked the 48th successive annual fund-raiser for Christie. Over the years, the ladies from Stand have collected more than £26,000 for Christie's.
Mrs Eileen Ormerod, joint treasurer who helped to organise the coffee morning and evening, said: "The events were well supported and enjoyable. The sum raised was up on last year".
