A TEAM of sisters and their pals from Burnley will be putting their best assets forward when they take part in a midnight power walking marathon dressed in bras.
Sisters Tracey Barker and Lyndsay Kerr and their friends Wendy Thompson and Maria Broadhurst will be walking in the Playtex Moonwalk 2004 this weekend.
The team have agreed to wear the standard Playtex bras which they have decorated and called themselves the 'Cosmic Cups'.
Tracey, Maria and Wendy, all of Van Dyke Avenue, and Lyndsay, of Lingmoor Drive, are set to travel to London today for the event in Hyde Park, which starts when the clock strikes midnight on tomorrow.
Organised by the health charity, Walk the Walk, the women will be raising money for breast cancer research and cancer care.
The walk is in its sixth year and has raised more than £12 million for the two cancer charities.
Its success has gone from strength to strength since it was launched in 1998. Nina Barough, founder of Walk the Walk, said: "You have to experience the Moonwalk to understand that not only is it helping future research and people with cancer now, but that it makes a huge difference to the lives of the people that take part."
