A DAMNING dossier underlining the chaos being suffered by companies facing one mail delivery a day has been compiled by Chamber Business Connections.
The 50-page report, which includes complaints from a number of firms in the Bury area, has been sent to Postwatch's regional office in Bradford.
And the dossier spells out the disruption being caused to businesses throughout North Manchester caused by the move to a later single daily delivery.
Many companies which took part in the survey have slammed the alteration and highlight the detrimental impact on their business. More than 100 complaints were made to the Chamber in the first week of its campaign to determine the full extent of the problems generated by the single daily delivery.
Businesses have found their mail is being received at all times of the day: or not at all in some cases.
Comments made by companies include instances of delayed cheques affecting cash flow and leading to severe bank charges, lost or delayed tender documents and invoices and an increasing number of lost work hours as staff sit idle or queue at their local sorting office to collect mail.
