DARWEN are hunting their second league and cup double victory in successive weekends.
Following their double success in the Northern Premier League and National Knock-out, they will be hoping for another league victory at Leyland Motors tomorrow before trying to dump Walshaw out of the Lancashire Knock-out.
While improving their league position is a priority, chairman Peter Lamster is also hoping the champions can add a cup triumphs to their recent title-winning achievements.
He said: "We're quite happy with the way things are going. We're halfway in the league but we have games in hand because of the uneven number of teams in the league and we've had our free weekend.
"We've only lost the first game of the season so we've nothing to worry about.
"I hope we can have some cup success this season but Wilshaw are quite a good side so we expect a tough game."
Chris Clarke returns to the side that travels to Leyland, with Craig Chatterton replacing Stuart Grant for Sunday's cup tie.
If Darwen do want to win a trophy, then Chorley will be blocking one of their routes to glory.
The two fierce rivals will meet in the third round of the ECB Knock-out on May 23, following Chorley's win over Wavertree on Sunday.
The Liverpool and District Association outfit were dimsissed for just 87 but Nigel Heaton's men got home with just two wickets to spare.
Chorley's Northern Premier League fixture at home St Annes last Saturday was rained off so they will be hoping for a return to league action at Leyland tomorrow.
