RAIN frustrated Greenmount in their bid for a maximum 20 point haul when Astley Bridge were the visitors to Brandlesholme Road.
The village side batted first and ran up a huge 277 for 4 from their 50 overs mainly thanks to Indian professional Nishit Shetty who blasted a superb unbeaten 122.
Shetty hit five 6's and eight 4's in his fine knock and, aided by Gary Chadwick's 54, Mark Stewart's 43 not out and John Ashworth (36), Mark Fallon's men put themselves firmly in the driving seat.
After tea, it looked good for the home side when they had their opponents 31 for 3, however, heavy showers took the players off the field for about 50 minutes and put paid to a result.
Bridge were 136 for 5 at the death with professional Amal Dalugoda going well on 45 not out.
Wicket-takers for Greenmount were Mark Stewart and Ryan Senior who took two apiece and Stuart Leach.
