A TALENTED teenage skater's dream of competing in the Olympics has been boosted thanks to a £2,500 donation by a local company.
Stacey Kemp, 15, of Clayton-le-Woods, near Chorley, received the cheque from Accrington-based North Lancs Training Group.
Jim Harkness, managing director of the company, handed it over at Blackburn Ice Arena. He said: "We are very pleased to get involved. She has a very rosy future."
Stacey's mum Lynn said: "Stacey has been skating for 10 years and is so dedicated. As she climbs the ladder, the financial demands are increasing."
Stacey, who is pictured with her partner David King, is the reigning British Champion in the primary pairs category, added: "I hope this money will help me achieve my dream which is going to the Olympic Games."
