I AM not a political person, however sometimes an issue stays with you and that's why I feel that I need to voice my opinion.

At this time of local elections, can I take this opportunity to remind prospective voters to remember that these elections are on local issues and not national issues, and to vote for the candidates who will work tirelessly for the people of Darwen and not for the candidates whose only interest in the elections are for a political gain?

As an ex-Conservative voter, I feel strongly that the efforts of a few representatives of Darwen are overlooked.

Remember voters, local elections are not a political statement, they are about local people, local issues and the future of our town.
