TWO women passengers from Whitefield were involved in a crash which left a driver fighting for his life in hospital after colliding with garden walls in Lowton on Friday night.
The 60-year-old man was at the wheel of a Daewoo Nubria when it pulled out of a car park in Newton Road.
The car then did a u-turn, crossing the junction with Barford Drive and smashing into three garden walls.
The driver, who is from Leigh, was taken to Warrington General Hospital with serious head and chest injuries. He is currently in intensive care in a critical condition.
His passengers, a 52-year-old woman from Leigh and two women from Whitefield, aged 43 and 25, were treated for minor injuries at Warrington General.
Newton Road was closed for three hours following the accident at 11.50pm.
