A FATHER-of-two found with a stash of drugs at his home has walked free from court, although a judge said his explanation was "a little hard to swallow."
Burnley Crown Court heard Blackburn man Cornel Aspinall, 45, kept amphetamine worth almost £700, claimed it was mostly for his own use and the Crown accepted it.
Sentencing, Judge Stuart Baker told the court normally people who did what he had would expect to go to jail.
But, he added, the amphetamine was a Class B controlled drug and the defendant had not had a particularly large amount.
Aspinall, of Brownhill Drive, had earlier admitted possessing amphetamine with intent to supply. He was given a two-year community rehabilitation order and ordered to pay £560 costs and £140 towards his defence costs.
