I HAVE lived in Clayton-le-Moors for two years now. Since then the garbage problem (there are no wheelie bins) has deteriorated to the extent that rats scurry about and the pavements are hazardous to navigate.
The road surfaces are a disgrace and contractors who have done work have not adequately repaired the surfaces afterwards.
The drunken yob culture centres around a few houses (the police know who they are) and the town centre/park areas need sorting ASAP.
Some landlords (both businesses and rented accommodation) insist on neglecting their properties, making them an eyesore with a negative effect on the neighbouring houses' value and overall appearance of the area.
What a shame when the area has such potential.
