BLACKBURN Rovers goalkeeper Peter Enckelman managed to see the funny side of Birmingham City's jibes at Ewood Park on Saturday.
Around 4,000 Blues fans spent the entire afternoon poking fun at the Finnish international after he made a calamatious error in a Midlands derby between Aston Villa and Birmingham last season.
Some dressed up as clowns while others held posters up proclaiming 'We love Enckelman'.
But the 26-year-old shot-stopper took it all in his stride and he later said the reception he got was not as hot as he'd been expecting.
"I was expecting everything I got so it wasn't anything special," said Enckelman.
"I had a better reception down in Birmingham where there was 25,000 people so it wasn't as loud as last time.
"It was a good laugh when the game was dead - and before and after kick-off.
"But during the game itself you don't really think about it because you've got to concentrate on the match.
"It's just one of those things you've got to deal with and if anything it makes you even more focused.
"You know if you lose your concentration then anything can happen, as I've experienced before."
Enckelman was on course to have the last laugh by keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 Rovers win.
However, with seven minutes remaining, Stern John then popped up to score a controversial late equaliser which cost the home side two points.
"Looking at the game as an outsider, you'd probably think a draw was a fair result," added Enckelman.
"But we went one up, we could have gone two up, and we might even have gone three up because we had chances to score.
"They did put pressure on us but they were really creating that many dangerous chances so it's disappointing in the end that we finished up with a draw."
