BLACKPOOL'S donkeys have undergone their annual health check - amidst warnings that the seaside tradition could be at risk.
Vets carried out Blackpool Council's annual donkey MoT last Friday - the event ensures that the animals are fit to continue their work.
However, one donkey owner warned this week that her business was suffering as fewer families made their way to the Fylde Coast.
"I rely on families and recently we seem to be getting fewer coming here," said Sue Jackson: "All we'll have here soon are hen and stag parties. People will be more interested in the casinos than my donkey rides."
