MR Keith Reynolds of Wyre Crescent, Darwen (Letters, May 14) keeps repeating that postal voting is an attempt "to maximise the Labour vote."
According to the respected local government weekly Local Government Chronicle, no research has been carried out on whether all postal voting benefits one party or another.
There is absolutely no evidence that postal voting benefits the Labour Party.
Surely, as a democrat, Mr Reynolds should welcome the increased voter participation that postal voting has proved to bring about?
