A 40th BIRTHDAY bash is to be held in Burnley next month.
Pupils of the former Burnley High School for Girls are being tracked down to attend a school reunion.
The event at Ighten Leigh Social Club, Burnley, is for pupils who will be 40 between September 1 last year and August 31, 2004.
Organiser Lorraine Thomas, nee Duffy, said she is looking forward to the evening and hoped all the ex-pupils would attend.
She said: "It is something we all said we do when we were at school, but the reunion was never organised.
"So we decided now was the time to have one with everybody turning 40."
Preparations for the event in Padiham Road are well under way. Posters of the old school shirt have been put up around the area and the organisers are hoping to put the pictures on the Friends Reunited website to alert members of the four classes.
Mrs Thomas added: "We are trying to contact as many people as we can. We have managed to contact about 40 or 50 so far, and are trying to contact the other 40 or 50."
Anyone who wishes to attend should get in touch with Lorraine Thomas (at lorrathomas@hotmail.com), Julie McGrach, formerly Sutcliffe (at juliemcgrach999@hotmail.com) or Alison Hoyle, formerly Holsgrove, at hoylealison@hotmail.com
