AN Accrington man accused of confronting TV star Shane Richie on the EastEnders' set is to stand trial before magistrates.
Unemployed roofer Raymond Taylor, whose age was given in court as 33, is alleged to have demanded acting lessons from the star, who plays Alfie Moon, as he recorded a scene with his screen wife Kat, played by Jessie Wallace.
It is alleged that Taylor, who is a former professional boxer, got into the BBC studios at The Elstree Centre in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, on Friday, April 2.
Taylor, of Cedar Street, denies going equipped for burglary with gloves, a screwdriver and a pair of wirecutters.
Yesterday magistrates at St Albans adjourned the case for a trial on June 16.
Taylor was released on bail.
