AS part of Adult Learner's Week, Accrington and Rossendale College will hold its annual awards on Thursday.
Tutors have nominated students aged over 18 who have gone that extra mile and will receive certificates from college principal, Nancy Cookson, at the Saturn Suite, in The Globe Centre, Accrington.
The nominees are Debra Stevenson, 38, of Huncoat, Accrington, for a Diploma in Childcare and Education, and in Life Skills are Nicola Warren, 28; Ann Brindle, 50, and Kevin Nancarrow, 49, all of Christchurch. Nadine Hardman, 33, of Haslingden, was nominated for Access to Nursing Open College, along with Kelly Davis, 26, of Accrington.
Other nominations include Terri Lofthouse, David Haworth, Noel Whiteman, Gary Roberts, Celene Lees, Joan Hodgkinson, Victoria Pierce, Puala Rawcliffe and Dawn Heffernan.
