A NEW leaflet highlighting some of the most picturesque places in Ramsbottom will be be put to the test tomorrow .
Brownies from Emmanuel Holcombe 19th Ramsbottom Pack, will test the Ramsbottom Heritage Society's Ramsbottom Duck Trail.
The easy half-mile circuit has been designed for everyone and takes in three of the most picturesque areas of the town. Starting from the Heritage Centre, the walk follows the route round three areas of water, the River Irwell, and two lodges at Kay Brow and Springwood, all known for their ducks.
The free leaflet was designed by local historian John Taylor in response to the growing number of visitors requesting information, directions and advice on exploring the area. It is available from Ramsbottom Library, and at the weekends from the Heritage Centre, Carr Street.
The centre is open every Sunday and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month between 1pm and 4pm until Christmas.
