BURNLEY coal traders refused to accept "poor burning" coal from Bank Hall pit.
Seventy wagons stood empty at the pit as traders talked for more than an hour with depot manager, Jim Whittaker. Housewives had been complaining strongly to traders and urged them to do something about the poor quality coal.
