BURNLEY tomcat Zip turned up after being missing for nearly three years.
He was found safe and well, with his original collar still on, on Walney Island, where owners Margaret and Albert Surridge, of White Street, Burnley, had been caravanning three years earlier. Zip was found by a couple who lived on the Island where he was thought to have been living wild.
Meanwhile, work on the £11million Haslingden by-pass was due to start.
