A VOLUNTARY organisation in Rossendale will shortly stage an action-packed summer event.
Positive Start will present Spicy Hot Pot, a summer gala event at St Mary's Chambers to help raise money for the new community centre, at the old fire station in Rawtenstall.
The evening on Wednesday, June 16, will feature national and international comedians, Persian music and an Indian version of Lancashire hotpot. The Mayor of Rossendale, Coun Eileen Kershaw, council members, police and fire chiefs, schools, colleges and youth organisations in the Valley will also be attending the event. Positive Start was formed a year ago to organise and manage projects which help bring together various sections of the community, especially work involving youths.
