LEGENDS from the rock world will perform in East Lancashire next month to raise funds for the tragic family of the three Waddington sisters.
M3 Classic Whitesnake, featuring four original members of Whitesnake, will play at Burnley Mechanics, joined by guest lead singer Stefan Berggren.
Barry Waddington, father of Louise, Hayley and Gemma, who died when fire swept through their home in February, was a fan of the group in their early years and would travel to see them play.
Music promoter Lionel Snowdon used to accompany him and decided to do something to help his old pal and his wife, Jane, who also lost all their belongings in the blaze.
The couple only moved back into their home in Lancaster Drive, Hapton, recently.
"Barry used to work for my mate 25 years ago and we used to take him to watch Whitesnake, they were his heroes," said Lionel.
"We went to the funeral and when you see three little coffins going in a grave it knocks you sideways. I just wanted to help them kick start a new life."
Lionel, of Whalley Road, Sabden, has enlisted two sponsors to help stage the gig, which will feature originals Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Neil Murray, and drummer Jimmy Copley.
Also on the bill are Burnley tribute band Slack Babbath, and Wigan's Deja Voodoo.
Last month, a comedy night with stars including Jim Bowen, Mick Miller and Frank Carson, raised £10,000 for the family. Now Lionel is hoping to reach his £15,000 target.
Barry said: "The Mechanics is the last place you would imagine them playing but I am really looking forward to it."
The concert will take place at 7.15pm on Saturday, June 12, and tickets, priced £14, concessions £12.50, are selling fast.
