RUGBY League referees' supremo Stuart Cummings is giving final year pupils a good send-off at Westleigh High.
Year 11 students received their Record of Achievement certificates at a morning ceremony on Thursday to celebrate achievements and the success of three outstanding 16-year-olds.
Rebecca Fern is an academic whizz kid who will be spending this summer at Oxford University two years ahead of schedule! Rebecca aims to study chemistry at Oxford and be a pharmaceutical biochemist.
Laura Nuttall has shone in the arts. A saxophonist and vocalist in Wigan Big Band she is a talented actor and about to make her TV debut as an extra in Coronation Street.
Scott Moore has already signed professional forms with St Helens RL. He has already been 18th man for the first team. A junior Great Britain International he looks destined for a great career.
Westleigh head John Pout said: "We are very proud of Rebecca, Laura and Scott as we are of all of our students. I hope that as well as working hard at school that they have enjoyed themselves. I hope they leave with wonderful memories and great ambitions. I want to wish them every happiness and success in their futures".
