GOLBORNE scenes captured on camera brought £90 worth of prizes to 13-year-olds Sarah Bryan, Leanna Fisher and Daniel Murray (11).
Members of Golborne Homework Club, run by Positive Futures Youth Section in conjunction with Golborne Library, were each given a disposable camera to record local images now on display in the library's Teen Room.
Sarah scooped first prize of £50 in gift vouchers -- timely reward following a spell in hospital -- for a picture of her pet dog, while Leanna and Daniel received vouchers worth £25 and £15. In Sarah's absence her friends Abigail Prescott and Sarah Boffey collected her prize.
Leigh, Lowton, and Golborne Township forum members judged the competition and township manager Andrew Sharrock presented the prizes at an award ceremony at Golborne Library where the club for 11 year-olds and above meets every Tuesday between 3pm and 6pm.
