WOODBANK picked up a single Lancashire County League point when they entertained Woodhouses at the Kenyons on Saturday.
The visitors set a target of 190 to win, thanks to useful knocks from Britten (61), Hammond (40) and Wolfenden (34).
Marcus McCheyne and Damien Stringer took the bowling plaudits with four wickets apiece.
Stringer then set about proving his worth with the bat, hitting 62 as the Bury side went looking for a second outright win of the campaign.
But only Stringer's brother John (38) and captain Neil Ridehaugh (23) chipped in with anything like decent knocks, as the reply fell 23 runs short of victory with eight wickets down.
On Sunday Bolton League Westhoughton were the visitors in the Lancashire Knockout clash.
But the writing was on the wall for the local lads when the Bolton side took the first two wickets of Damien Stringer and David McCheyne for only one run.
Neil Ridehaugh tried manfully to turn the tide, top scoring with 47, while there were useful contributions from Jason Stringer (28) and McCheyne (23) as they ran up a total of 151 for 7 from their allotted 45 overs.
It proved insufficient for victory, however, as Westhoughton eased to a five-wicket win just past the 40-over mark.
A five-point victory over Longsight took Prestwich Cricket Club's points haul so far to 21 - enough to see the club top the table.
However, it is only by virtue of having recorded more five-point wins, as Woodhouses and Denton St Lawrence lie alongside on the same number of points.
They overcame Longsight by a comfortable eight wickets on Saturday, but there was a time early in the game when the visitors threatened to lead the Heys men a merry dance.
Simms and Shafiq suddenly quickstepped to a score of 92-1 with 24 overs left.
However, the Prestwich bowlers knuckled down and what could have been an insurmountable total finished at 170 all out.
Andy Bradley finished with 4 for 26, Steven Lorenzini's six overs saw him return 2 for 18, Chris Humphreys picked up 3 for 50 while young Alex Blake picked up the vital wicket of Shafiq.
In reply, Duxbury and Walker proceeded to set up victory as they set about mastering the Longsight attack.
Duxbury played a number of powerful drives to reach his half century in 74 balls, while Walker took one ball less to reach his fifty. He hit nine boundaries and a six in his 63.
Their partnership of 151 came to surprising end with the scores level, before Walker reverse sweeped the ball to Mohammed.
Duxbury then put the seal on a Prestwich triumph, his 14 fours and two sixes helping him to an unbeaten 86.
