AN Atherton woman who was alleged to have wounded her partner has walked free from court.
Marie Lynch had denied the attack and Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday that the alleged victim, Martin Lynch, was not willing to give evidence against her.
Geoffrey Whelan, prosecuting, said that Mrs Lynch claimed she had been the subject of domestic violence at her husband's hands and had been acting in self-defence.
He offered no further evidence against Mrs Lynch, 35, of Spa Road, on the charges of wounding with intent on January 8 and a lesser alternative charge of wounding. Judge Gerald Clifton entered not guilty verdicts.
