THE man convicted of killing 20-year-old Preston law student Janet Murgatroyd will have to wait for the outcome of his conviction appeal after top judges reserved their ruling.
Andrew Greenwood, 30, of Sephton Street, Lostock Hall, near Preston, was jailed for eight years at Liverpool Crown Court in June last year after he was convicted of manslaughter.
Janet's body was found floating in the River Ribble in June 1996, and she was found to have been seriously sexually assaulted before her death.
After nearly two days of intense legal debate, the Court of Appeal, London, on Friday, May 14, reserved its decision until a later, undisclosed date.
