BURY businesses are being urged to "go green" by rethinking waste.
Groundwork Bury, with its North Manchester environmental business support partners, is giving companies a fantastic opportunity to increase their knowledge of waste minimisation and recycling practices.
The Rethink Waste conference is being held at Bolton's Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, June 22 and is funded by the Pilsworth Environmental Company.
Overall, the event aims to both increase awareness and to stimulate waste minimisation and recycling.
Emma Knapp, Groundwork environmental business adviser, is co-ordinating the conference. She said: "Businesses can create significant advantages for themselves through improving their environmental performance; recycling costs and strengthening their image by demonstrating their support of vital green issues."
As a result of introducing good waste management and recycling processes, businesses will become more efficient and their costs will decrease.
Among the key speakers will be representatives from business who are already benefiting from introducing such processes. The event offers an excellent opportunity for companies to exhibit.
