A BID to set up a new casino on Blackpool promenade has been blocked by magistrates.
London Clubs International had hoped to set up the casino at 75-87 The Promenade, but were blocked by the resort's licensing magistrates last Wednesday.
London Clubs is one of the UK's biggest gambling firms and also has interests overseas. It has worked with Leisure Parcs on the tower owner's bid to turn Blackpool into the UK's top gambling destination.
A spokesman for London Clubs International said the company did not comment on individual applications.
