PROUD owners have been queuing up to enter the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's Perfect Pets competition.
Jasmine the Cavalier King Charles spaniel was the first pet to pose for photographer Jo Murphy at Aquamania, Blackburn as the search begins to find East Lancashire's cutest companions.
A special entry coupon has been appearing in the Evening Telegraph.
The competition has four categories - for dogs, cats, small animals and pet pals.
A photographer will be in store at Aquamania this weekend and from Thursday to Sunday next week.
Every pet photographed will be featured in a special Perfect Pets supplement with readers being asked to vote for their favourites.
The pets with the most votes in each category will win a 16x12 framed portrait for their owners.
The owners of the pet with the most votes overall will win a pet-friendly break in the Lake District for four from South Lakeland Holidays.
