BLACKBURN Under 14s finished their season in style beating Blackpool 2-1 in the Wrennal Trophy Final at Bloomfield Road.
The local youngsters had the better of the early play and they were rewarded when Michael Aspin fired home from 15 yards after 18 minutes.
Blackburn came close to extending their lead on the half hour mark but David Craney's shot narrowly missed the target.
Blackpool hit back equalising on the stroke of half time and neither side could add to their tally, which meant the game went into extra-time.
It was a similar story in extra-time with both teams cancelling each other out but Blackburn grabbed the winner in the last minute when Craney headed home a Daniel Pilkington 30 yard free-kick.
