PUPILS at Gawthorpe High School welcomed eight young people from Germany as part of an exchange programme.
Many of visitors from Kassel were in Britain for the first time.
Head of German at Gawthorpe, Ann Drummond said: "German children wanted to experience life at a school here.
"It was a great success, the children here were very excited to meet them."
