FUNDRAISERS for Pendleside Hospice are holding a curry night at a Burnley restaurant.
Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle has joined up with the Usha Restaurant, in Rossendale Road, for the second time to offer an all-you-can-eat feast of Asian food for £10.
There will also be entertainment, an auction and raffle during the event, which is being held on Monday, June 21.
Last year's curry night was a sell-out success with almost £2,000 raised for the Reedley-based hospice. Organisers are hoping to top that total this year to help hospice care for local people suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Care is provided free of charge to anyone that needs it, however, the cost of providing that care now exceeds £1.5million a year, of which £1.1m has to be found from fundraising events and donations.
Kaye Bartle, fundraising manager for the hospice, said: "These kind of events have proved really popular in the past and guarantee an excellent night out while also helping a worthy local cause."
Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, but can be obtained by contacting the hospice on 01282 440100 or from the Usha Restaurant.
