THREE teachers set off across the Atlantic on a research trip to one of the world's most prestigious universities.
Staff from St Wilfrid's CE High School and Technology College, Blackburn, hope to find the key to recruiting and retaining teachers, improving performance in schools, and teacher development.
They flew out to Stanford University in California.
Researcher Steve Merrill, 51, of Croston, assistant head teacher at St Wilfrid's was joined by deputy head Helen Reece, 44, of Abbey Village and assistant head Catherine Huddleston, 39, of Lancaster.
