A BURNLEY mother and her two daughters are joining this years' Race For Life to help raise cash for charity.
Gillian Lingard and daughters Chantal, 12, and Brogan, nine, will be putting their best feet forward for the 5km race.
The Burnley trio are joining more than 350,000 women in a bid to help the Tesco-sponsored Race for Life raise £20 million for Cancer Research UK.
They have been training three times a week around Clowbridge Reservoir to gear up for the event.
Gillian, 37, of Lionel Street, said: "It's been a great couple of months for me and the girls to go out training together. It has helped me get fit as well as make sure the girls are active.
"My children have been brought up in a fundraising environment and they understand that there are people less fortunate than themselves."
The girls will be running at the Blackburn Witton Park night race on Wednesday, June 23.
Gillian is no stranger to fundraising after she carried the baton for the Queen's Golden Jubilee and raised £1,000.
