BURNLEY Mayor Lilian Clark has enjoyed a slice of the action to help an Asda store's 10th birthday celebrations go with a swing.
Coun Clark and Mayoress Jackie Elkington joined staff and customers to cut the birthday cake at the Princess Way supermarket.
Staff presented the mayor with a cheque for £500 for her charity fund, which they raised on a sponsored exercise bike ride.
Youngsters from the town who are also celebrating their 10th birthdays this month also joined the party.
Donations collected from shoppers on the day will be given to Pendleside Hospice.
