A 74-YEAR-old woman was robbed as she was walking down a Burnley street.
The pensioner was walking past the Woodman Pub in Todmorden Road on Saturday morning when a man walked past her.
She continued into Stewart Street where the same man grabbed her black shoulder bag, containing £100 cash, a pension book and a cheque book, from behind.
The woman tried to fight off the robber, but fell to the ground where she suffered minor injuries to her left arm and shoulder.
She shouted for help and two witnesses chased after the robber who fled towards Todmorden Road.
The robber is described as a white male, in his late 20s, of slim build, about 5ft 6in with red or mousy hair and a scruffy complexion. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt.
