A FATHER was arrested after police were called to his daughter's fourth birthday party.
Blackburn magistrates heard that adults at the party had been drinking throughout the day and police were initially told they were attending a mass brawl.
Jason Lee Avakian, 23, of Burnley Road, Blackburn, admitted a breach of the peace. He was bound over in £100 to keep the peace for 12 months.
Pat Bramley, prosecuting, said the police were called to the defendant's home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They found a female crying outside and as the officers entered the house they were approached by Avakian who ordered them out and said they needed a search warrant.
"He was advised about his behaviour but continued to be abusive and aggressive," said Miss Bramley.
"As he was being arrested he tried to headbutt an officer."
Basharat Ditta, defending, said Avakian was ashamed of his behaviour.
"What had been quite a joyful day had an unfortunate ending," said Mr Ditta.
