EIGHT firefighters from East Lancashire have been awarded after each clocking up 20 years of service.
The Long Service and Good Conduct Medals were presented in recognition of 20 years' service of a 'consistently high standard'.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service's chief fire officer Peter Holland presented the awards to Accrington firefighter David Ball, of Burnley, Blackburn firefighter Nigel Yates, of Darwen, Barnoldswick firefighter Richard Brown, Hyndburn station officer Duncan Emmett and Blackburn station officer Peter Frazer, of Burnley.
Awards also went to Hyndburn sub-officer Terence Nightingale, of Bacup, Burnley station officer Ian Potter and Blackburn firefighter Stephen Horrocks, of Great Harwood.
