A COUNCILLOR signed off his mayoralty by presenting thousands of pounds to charity.
Alan Yearing's last engagement as Ribble Valley Mayor was to present £5,500 to local organisations.
The money was gifted by the Ribble Valley Mayor's Charity, which raises cash for good causes.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society received £2,500 and the Dyslexia Association £2,500. Other cash went to the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Ribble Valley Rail.
Coun Yearing said: "I'd like to thank everyone who made donations for their generosity and thank the recipients for their excellent work."
