I THOROUGHLY agree with the comments made by E Kelly (LET, May 21) regarding the risk illegally-parked cars are to other road users in the Whalley Range area.
I would like to point out another area of Blackburn that suffers from a similar problem, that being the top of Shear Brow, especially trying to enter Shear Brow from Oozebooth Terrace.
Cars are constantly parked on double yellow lines, making driving in the area extremely dangerous.
I too, have spotted on numerous occasions police in the area who don't seem to want to take action.
It has given me the impression that parking violation only seems to be punished if it occurs within the area covered by the Town Centre Traffic wardens.
The police have recently had traffic enforcement operations in the Whalley Range area. I and many others would welcome such operations at Shear Brow.
