MANY people who have experienced cancer will have been helped by Macmillan Cancer Relief. All the help Macmillan provides is free of charge.
This is only possible because of the support we get from our amazing 70,000 volunteers.
Across the country volunteers help raise the money we need to provide services, answer our telephone helpline, provide a welcoming reception in our cancer care centres or willingly spend hours sticking labels on envelopes!
During Volunteers' Week (June 1-7) I would like to say a big thank-ou to all the volunteers who help Macmillan in East Lancashire. Without your enthusiasm, dedication and sheer hard work Macmillan could not help people with cancer and their families in our area. New volunteers are always very welcome and we will try to find you a role that suits your talents and the time you can give.
So to our present volunteers -- thank you again. To new volunteers -- please give me a ring on 01706 224454.
