FAST food giant McDonald's has launched its national community clean-up campaign.
Leigh restaurant manager Paul Britland-Jones said: "We are all looking forward to the event, and working with Westleigh High School to make a real difference to the local area.
"We run daily litter patrols in the vicinity of our restaurant, but we are taking the opportunity to team up with others to clean up the town, and hopefully we'll be able to educate people at the same time."
The second "Just Bin It" campaign will highlight the scale of the littering problem caused by motorists across the UK. As part of the clean up events McDonald's will be providing new, environmentally innovative 'car refuse bags' made from bio degradable packaging which can be fixed to dashboards, in a bid to get motorists to clean up their act.
