HAVING a conversation with my parents is not simple when they talk about their neighbours.
I never know which one they're on about.
In their short row on St Helens Road there are four Steves and two Bobs so it's not easy when I'm told Steve said this or Bob did that.
They have to be differentiated with titles like electric Bob and garden Bob and Steve left, Steve right, Steve next door but one and Steve at the end.
In my own row only the names have changed. There all the men are called either Paul, John or Alan - with one Bob thrown in! Our identification names are not quite so flattering -- there's Scar, Blimp, old Alan, young Alan, and Mr Bucket.
Any similar neighbourly name problems?
