HA YEAR 7 team from Golborne High School won the U12s Wigan Inter-Schools soccer tournament.
The girls now go forward represent Wigan in the Manchester Youth Games next month.
In order to qualify the girls had to play eight matches. They conceded no goals but scored plenty themselves - eight in one game alone.
Golborne played St Mary's in the semi-final and won 2-1 and followed it up with a 4-3 win over Standish High in the final.
With only six of them, they had to play every game without a substitute. The successful team, pictured left, was Samantha McGrath, Emma Pilling, Michaela Keenan, Jenny Lewis, Darryl Bradbury and Leah Jones.
