MORE than 50 juniors jumped at the chance to practise their tennis talent at a special event in Prestwich.
Supported by the Lawn Tennis Association, Prestwich Tennis Club held a free Play Tennis day for all ages and it proved to be a smash-hit with young and old.
Members at the Heys-based club organised a variety of games and competitions to help improve their skills and interest in the game.
It included the use of a new automatic ball machine, purchased with the assistance of a grant from Prestwich Area Board.
The club is intending to hold another open event later in the season, aimed more at adults. Anyone wanting further details about the club should contact Dave Wharton on 773 4555 or Gill Boyle on 798 8720.
