A QUIZ challenge at the Hoyle Early Years Centre pitted mothers, fathers and teachers against local councillors.
The Hoyle Challenge Cup contest was one of several activities laid on at the Chesham Fold Road nursery's spring fair.
And it was parents and staff who won the day, clinching a specially-made trophy donated by one of the school governors, Councillor Trevor Holt. Also provided on the day were plenty of opportunities to snap up a bargain, with stalls selling books, cakes, plants and toys.
More than 100 people attended, and were able to take part in a raffle and tombola or pamper themselves with a manicure.
Face painting and a play area provided worthy distractions for the youngest visitors.
The head, Clare Barker, said: "It was lovely weather and even though it was cup final day we were finished in plenty of time so that did not affect our numbers.
"The quiz was a great success and is now going to be an annual event. From the feedback of everyone who took part it was good fun and well worth doing."
