SOUL legends Jimmy James and the Vagabonds will take the stage at Burnley's newly opened Circulation Club this weekend.
The appearance is a coup for the club as Jimmy and his band are among the best names in soul and played the venue back in the 1980s.
They burst on to the scene in the late 1960s with a recording of Neil Diamond's "Red Red Wine."
He went on to record several more hits including "Now is the Time" and "I'll Go Where Your Music Takes Me" which have both become classics.
Owner, property developer Ray Harrison and his business partner, manager Gary Pollard, have breathed £100,000-worth of new life into the premises after it was closed about six years ago.
They want the venue to be an upmarket, trouble-free attraction for more mature clubbers over 35.
Mr Harrison said: "It will be great to have Jimmy and the band back at the Circulation where they used to star. Hopefully a few old faces and some new ones will come along and see what he and we have to offer."
In 1989, Jimmy and his Vagabonds were presented with a national newspaper award for Club Band of the Year before they faded from the music scene.
Now, 25 years after their heyday, the band will pay at the Circulation Club on Saturday.
The club on Holmes Street, held a reunion VIP night last Saturday to celebrate winning a public entertainments licence after a battle through the courts.
