The 12-partner practice, which was first established in Bury in 1887, has grown significantly over the past decade and now has eight offices in the north west.
Speaking about the expansion, senior partner Charles Barlow explained: "We can now offer a full range of services from each of our offices across the region. Our aim is to provide clients with a highly professional service in an efficient and cost effective manner.
"Runcorn will provide us with access to a number of the many fast-growing businesses in the area."
Butcher & Barlow now have eight offices across the region, offering a full range of legal services for both individuals and businesses.
They have experts who deal in all areas of the law, including company, commercial, employment, family, personal injury, property, probate and trust matters.
