LOCAL councils are battling noise pollution today (Thursday) as part of Noise Action Day.
In Wyre, the borough council's pollution control team will visit primary schools with noise information packs and for noise-themed lessons.
And in Blackpool, public protection officers from the council's environmental services will be in the main reception of the Municipal Buildings on Corporation Street, Blackpool, 9am-4.30pm, to talk with residents.
