A BRIDGE Club handed over £600 to Pendleside Hospice trustees.
Fundraisers at Pendleside Hospice said they were delighted with the donation from money raised during a the Brierfield club's bridge drive held on Tuesday, May 18.
More than 50 people attended the event and, as well as enjoying a competitive game of bridge, they were treated to an afternoon tea and took part in a raffle. Club chairman Dorothy Slater, presented the money to hospice trustee Margaret Monckton.
Brierfield Bridge Club meets every weekday evening at 7pm and every Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm at King Street, Brierfield.
It currently has more than 200 members. Kaye Bartle, fundraising manager at the hospice, said: "The club is a keen supporter of the hospice."
